Poet and essayist

Shenandoah Sowash's work has appeared in the Four Way Review, Menacing Hedge, the Laurel Review, Gargoyle, Poet Lore, and elsewhere. She has received fellowships from the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts, the Lannan Foundation, the Bread Loaf Writers Conference, the Kimmel Nelson Harding Center for the Arts, the Summer Literary Seminars, and the DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities. She is a proud public servant in Washington, D.C.
